Summer Substitute at the Authority Department

We are now looking for a dedicated summer substitute who wants to contribute to our operations during the summer.

Your Assignment

The Authority Department within the Welfare sector consists of the Care Unit, Adult Unit, and Supply Unit. In all three areas, you as a summer substitute will meet individuals in need of various social services. You will be part of a team with colleagues who work together in the administration building. In this position, you will meet individuals on-site in the administration building as well as conduct home visits.

Within the Authority Department, we work with authority exercise according to the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS), and the Act on Care of Addicts in Certain Cases (LVM). As a social worker/case officer, you will meet people, handle updates, investigate needs, make decisions about assistance, and follow up on approved interventions. All three units work with structured investigations and documentation. In your daily work, there will always be colleagues, specialists, and unit managers available for support.

Description of the Workplace

The Authority Departments within the Welfare sector consist of three units, each with its specific areas of responsibility and tasks:

Supply Unit

Role: Social Worker
Tasks: Your main tasks are to handle cases according to the Social Services Act (SoL). You will, among other things, investigate, make decisions about the right to financial support and assistance, and follow up on interventions.

Adult Unit

Role: Social Worker
Tasks: Your main tasks are to handle cases according to the Social Services Act. The types of cases the unit is responsible for involve harmful use/dependency, domestic violence, driving license assessments, and investigations regarding secondary contracts. You will pre-assess reports of concern, investigate, and follow up on interventions.

Care Unit

Role: Case Officer
Tasks: Investigate, decide, and follow up on assistance and interventions for the elderly and individuals with disabilities according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS).

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who has ongoing or completed education as a social worker or other equivalent education. Experience in social work and/or working with target groups is an advantage. It is also beneficial if you have knowledge of MI, IBIC, and ASI, as well as experience working in Lifecare. You need to have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish in both speech and writing. You have a B driver's license.

As a person, you are secure, stable, and self-aware. You have the ability to create professional and trust-giving relationships, take initiative, and have the courage to act based on your convictions. You are communicative, attentive, and resolve conflicts constructively. It is also important that you can plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively and set and adhere to deadlines. Additionally, we believe that you value diversity and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect oneself and others.
